Anything I can do, you can do better!

WI Holistic Health Expo Organizer

After I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in May 2014, I chose to research how to successfully live with it. People think that it’s odd I didn’t learn all the horrible shit that was about to happen to me instead.

If you’re one of those people who looks into all the crazy stuff that’s about to happen to you after being told you have a disease, disorder, illness, etc. – how amazing is your life now because of that choice?

After everything that I’ve been through, and after everything I have learned, in my humble opinion; it’s cruel and unusual punishment to learn that MS is going to present itself as Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, ALS, chrons, lyme, and drunk beyond the law. How is my life better knowing that I could possibly end up pooping myself? The answer to both of these questions is, it’s not!

Knowing that being a “victim” is a choice people make, I made the smart and obvious choice to empower myself rather than becoming a victim of my thoughts, choices, and actions.

While sitting in the hospital room for three days, I researched how to successfully live with one of the most debilitating neurological disorders known in Western medicine. After a few weeks of this, it was bluntly clear as to what needed to be done. What we all should be doing in the first place!

Once I learned that Eastern Medicine promotes the body to heal itself while Western Medicine just covers up the symptom while creating more problems for the pharmaceutical companies to profit off of, I changed the mission of Melody of Life Foundation and dove headfirst into Milwaukee, WI Holistic Health community.

If you’re wondering how to successfully live with a chronic illness, or live like we should be doing in the first place, start seeking these forms of healing modalities:

  • Acupuncture
  • Vitamins/Minerals
  • Massages
  • Essential Oils
  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi
  • Walking
  • Reading
  • Meditation
  • Exercise
  • Drinking Water
  • Coconut Oil
  • Sound Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Music Therapy
  • Vibrational Therapy
  • Stop eating pork
  • Stop eating dairy
  • Stop eating sugar
  • Stop eating beans/legumes
  • Stop eating FDA approved food and seek organic farmers. The FDA allows toxic chemicals in our food to keep us sick. We make corporations and politicians very wealthy.

After learning all this un-common sense material, I started seeking everything out.

  • I bought singing bowls
  • essential oils and a diffuser
  • tons of personal development books
  • acupuncture sessions
  • started meditating
  • replaced butter with coconut oil
  • threw out my microwave (sadly my roommates have one which I don’t use)
  • have a ton of vitamins (D3 is most important to MSers)

The thing about all that is, I suck at it and yet my health is awesome. No matter what room I go in to, I know that I am the healthiest person in there despite my MS. I know this because this is America, the sickest nation in the world!

So why am I telling you all of this?

After two years of going to health fairs, being an exhibitor at some, volunteering for others…I was asked to take over the Wisconsin’s Holistic Health Expo. This never would have happened if I chose to make myself become a victim of something that happens to millions of people.

The Wisconsin’s Holistic Health Expo (WIHHE)

Since I became an organizer, WIHHE has been doing things no other health fair in the world has done (I’ll keep saying this until someone tells me otherwise. I did a lot of research before creating that bold statement).

When I do something, I go big otherwise there’s no point!

When you ask yourself, “How can we add more value to…?” the answers you get are incredible. We are offering year-round value to our readers and listeners. We are offering a way for our partners to leverage our expo for an entire career. We are offering a way to advertise for a lifetime in the most credible source in the world (according to facts).

If you live in the Wisconsin area, hopefully I’ll see you at one of our events. If you don’t live in Wisconsin, feel free to read our blog, read our books, listen to our podcast, and get active with our community on Facebook.

Eastern mentality trumps the Western way of doing things at every turn when it comes to health, except diagnosing and ER trauma. I’m sure you’ve heard of some of this stuff before, or it may be new to you.
