We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.” – Helen Keller
The reasons why so many people never accomplish what they set out to do is because of these three predictable forces that everyone goes through.
Since you know that these three forces are predictable, now you can treat them for what they are – “things to handle”
No matter what you do, life is full of challenges. The ones who succeed are the ones who rise above and overcome these 3 challenges.
In retrospect, a goal is really just a challenge you created to make a better life
By making a goal for yourself, you made the decision to put yourself to the test. Me, you and billions of other people want to make our lives better. To do this we need to reach a specific objective.
With any challenge there are obstacles!
When you are headed to your friends and blow out a tire on your car, will you just sit in the car pissed off and let life pass you by? NO! You somehow get it fixed and reach your goal of getting to your friends house.
This occurs in your head and instantly makes you not even try at least once.
You are talking yourself out of even trying because somewhere down the line you got it stuck in your head that you lack the ability! You can achieve whatever you set your mind too!
When this happens it is because you are consistently hearing negative feedback in your thoughts until you brainwash yourself into believing you cannot do a damn thing. Stop doing this to yourself!
EVERYBODY has considerations, no one is 100% confident all the time. Most billionaires become that way because at one point or another they risked everything. A lot of people go bankrupt but they keep their head up and try again. Robert Kiyosaki lived in his car at one point.
Considerations are very useful if you allow them to show you what has been stopping you in the past. Most of these thoughts are not fact!
Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford
We all have fears of:
- Physical Pain
“Allow the fear to cautiously guide you; never let it take complete control…it’s about learning to read the specific messages that the fear is offering so we can then act accordingly.”
Fear is what you do not want to happen – that is it! It is just a state of mind
To Overcome Fear:
- Interrupt your thought process of fear
- Imagine how you want things to be or go
- Visualize everything working out the way you want it too
- See It
- Feel It
- Believe It
If you do this every chance you face a fearful situation, you will build the confidence needed to conquer your fears and accomplish your goals!
Trust your hopes, not your fears.” – Unknown
The first two are completely in your control because they are your thoughts. Roadblocks are what life throws at you to kick you off course and hold you back; even quit!
They are external circumstances that are out of our control. The only thing you can control is how you react to them.
- No one wants to join you
- You do not have enough money to start
- You do not have transportation
- You do not know the right people
- You do not have the right equipment
- Irrelevant people tell (dreamstealers) you your idea is:
- Other people:
The best part about roadblocks is that they are never permanent. There is always a way to overcome any obstacle if you are committed enough!
You will find a way to overcome such roadblocks:
- Go Around It
- Go Above It
- Go Straight Through It (my personal favorite)
Roadblocks are a part of the process and they will not go away until you face them!
Roadblocks are natural, learn from them. Look at them as opportunities – not as dead ends
The Success Principles for Teens narrates a story from Taylor who says, “These roadblocks are simply real-world circumstances you need to deal with in order to move forward. Many of these roadblocks may be out of your control, but they’re never dead ends…unless you choose to give up.”
DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!
It is sad to say that when these considerations, fears and roadblocks arise, most people give up and never return to their passion.
REMEMBER: these are a normal part of any good goal. If they do not appear, then your goal was not big enough. You did not challenge yourself enough to grow.
