One of the easiest things to say, and yet, one of the hardest things to figure out for a lot of people is to live their passion.
Finding your passion! Figure this out and you will know what area of life you want to focus your career on.
You can find your passion by writing a list of:
- What makes you happy while doing it?
- What gets you excited when thinking about doing something?
- What feelings do you enjoy having?
- What do you want to be remembered for?
By making these lists, and they do not have to be long (5-10 points in each), you can visually see of what it is you are looking for.
Who it is you want to be? You are the only you there is and ever will be, just be the best you can be!
Marie Forleo writes in her how to find your passion and pursue it. The tips and advice that she gives is very compelling and motivational.
Marie’s tips to finding your passion are:
- Love everything you do
- Notice any themes in your life (Books, Music, DVDs, Magazines, etc.)
- What do you love to talk about, learn about, and/or teach others about?
- Quit talking and start doing
Some people can go their whole life not knowing their passion or purpose. Each and every one of us has a purpose. We are all passionate about something.
It took me until he was almost 26 years old to completely realize what I am passionate about. After I read Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich and Jack Canfield’s book The Success Principles I figured out my definite major purpose in life:
To motivate and inspire the world to find their passion and live their definite purpose”
As long as you keep pursuing what you are passionate about at that time, you will figure out what you want for the rest of your life.
We are all exactly where we are suppose to be.
Every experience you have gone through, and will continue to go through, will shape the person that you are.
Embrace these moments and continue your life with a new perspective on things continuously following the path that is meant for you.
Just do what you feel is right at every step of the way. Breakthrough to Success!
Deep inside you, you know what is it you are suppose to do and how to do it. Trust your feelings and instincts, especially about taking action to live the life of your dreams.
Once you find your passion, you will find the motivation you need to accomplish the tasks that you do not want to do.
For instance, you may want to be a doggy dentist but ca not find the motivation to put any effort into doing your Calculus homework; you are not going to use that in your passion.
- Helps build time management and organizational skills
- Builds upon your character
- Ability to get things done
- Will power
Motivation comes strictly from motivation. In a webinar, Jack Canfield mentions the difference between motivation and inspiration.
- Motivation is something like taking a shower every two days.
- Inspiration is that fire that gets lit inside of you to live your passion.
If you are inspired to be a doggy dentist, then you should also find the inspiration to get good grades in meaningless subjects like astronomy.
Even if you do not know what to do, just do it.
It is so simple it is hard
Sometimes you are dreaming of something that it is so overwhelming that you do not know where to begin.
Where to begin:
- Pull out the papers that you need
- Make that phone call
- Send the email you want
- Open your bag
- Turn off your phone
- Close your social media for 60 minutes (everything will be just fine, it will still be there)
Trust me, you already know what to do. It is a matter of taking that very first step and all the other steps will unfold before your eyes!
What is your passion at this moment in time?
By just taking that one initial step towards something you may want, it is then, and only then, will you know if this is something that you are passionate about.
Start doing, gain experience, learn from your mistakes and constantly go where you believe you need to be.
