We all have to start overcoming negative perceptions of ourselves to begin living the life we really want. It took me decades of hard work and I’m still improving.
As a matter of fact, I’ll always be overcoming negative perceptions of myself because I am a human being who knows I’m not perfect.
Perception is Reality
It’s how you see things as they are and how you believe they should be. However, because this is technically only YOUR reality, this does not mean that it’s true at all – it’s only “true” to you when in fact it has absolutely nothing to do with real world facts.
Perception is Projection
How you perceive the world will projected into your reality by “seeing” what you think about most. If you have negative feelings about yourself pertaining to something specific, you’ll project that energy and begin seen that same fault in everyone you meet.
- “There’s no reason for any individual to have a computer in their home.” –Kenneth Olsen, President and founder of Digital Equipment Corporation in 1977
- “The Earth is the center of the Universe.” –Ptolemy, the great Egyptian astronomer in the 2nd century
- “Everything that can be invented has been invented” –Charles H. Duell, U.S. Commissioner of Patents in 1899
We know now that these statements are false but those people who believe in opinions instead of facts will always be trapped in a world that isn’t real.
Their chosen perception creates limitations which keep them from achieving their desired lifestyle.
Overcoming Negative Perceptions
What you think about most often becomes your reality – it’s the law of the universe. The only difinitive difference between someone who’s successful and a failure are their thoughts! That’s it!
If you don’t start overcoming negative perceptions about yourself, you’ll always find evidence to support your negativity. By changing your perception, everything changes.
The only way to really control this change is through repetition; repeat these affirmations below until they become your real world reality:
Infinite Possibilities with These Perceptions:
- I’m smart
- I can do it
- I matter
- I’m healthy
- I’m enthusiastic
- I achieve anything I set my mind too
If you could envision the type of person God intended you to be, you would rise up and never be the same again.”
What perception is holding you back?
