The Swish Pattern is useful creating momentum to get you started on living a successful future.  The Swish Pattern installs new choices for habits, behaviors and emotions, rather than simply removing the old choices.

When doing the Swish Pattern, you should be full associated in the “Old Picture” and dissociated when you use the “New Picture”.  This is what creates that momentum in the subconscious mind.

As you do this, make sure you get in depth with the detail and elicit a sensory-specific representation of the “New Picture”.

Keep repeating this process until you are unable to access the “Old Picture”.

As you repeat the process, you should increase the speed because you will most likely not be able to consciously keep up with the process.  All your change takes place at the subconscious level.

The key to the Swish Pattern is to break state between each repetition of the Swish Pattern so you do not create a loop.  A simple break can be just opening and closing of the eyes.

The reason why you would use the Swish Pattern on yourself is to replace the strategies you currently have.  For instance, it is to replace unwanted states, behaviors, habits or emotions that you have.
